Here is a website that compares washing hands with regular soap and one containing triclosan. THey claim that triclosan is much more effective.

Its funny, I was waiting in the pharmacy at Hy-Vee to get my kid's asthma perscription filled and started looking at soaps, obviously as a result of our lab this week. I just so happened to pick up the same Dial soap mentioned in the article. If I remember correctly, the antibacterial soap was used in our lab had .15% Triclosan. The Dial soap had .45% Triclosan…..of course its going to be more effective than the others.
